Mark Vassallo is the Managing Partner in charge of the management of Lightyear Capital and a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Lightyear Capital, Mr. Vassallo served as a Managing Director at PaineWebber Inc., where he played an integral role in negotiating and managing PaineWebber's merger with UBS AG in 2000, creating a top wealth and asset management firm. During his two-decade career at PaineWebber, Mr. Vassallo served the firm operating across a range of businesses including investment banking, corporate mergers and acquisitions, hedge funds, private client group, and other areas.
Mr. Vassallo serves on the Board of Directors of Lightyear Capital portfolio companies Antares Holdings Limited, BakerCorp, Cetera Financial Group, and Delos Insurance Company.
Mr. Vassallo received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
